More about the Designer, Lilia Cardinali

I grew up loving rocks. During college, archeology studies introduced me to ancient jewelry, amulets and art. Venice enchanted me at first sight, and inspired me to launch Venezia Bella Jewelry in 2003. I wanted to capture the color, light and atmosphere of this magical place in my designs. I often incorporate vintage gemstones and silver into my pieces, both for their intrinsic beauty and historical value. Each piece is an artist’s original. Unique style to me means owning something no one else has.

Because my name, Susan Stephens, is known in other business contexts, I decided to use ”Lilia”, the Italian version of Susan as my design voice. Cardinali is a family name. In my studio when I begin design and fabrication, it is the spirit of Lilia Cardinali who comes alive.
